You know how it goes. They said the data does not support it. They said that is just how things are. They said the community is not ready. Sometimes they said it in a boardroom. Sometimes in a policy brief. Sometimes your grandmother said it in the kitchen and listen, she be knowing.

They Said… starts where most conversations end. With the thing someone said that was not quite right, not quite true, or not quite the whole story. Each issue takes on a dominant narrative about community, policy, public safety, or care, and answers it with evidence, scholarship, and the knowledge that communities have always held. Because sometimes the myth needs dismantling. And sometimes the ancient wisdom just needed someone to write it down.
